OUR INTENTION
Darmo is run by a team of art historians. Our work is one of discovery: identifying contemporary artists whose practice deserves a lasting place in art history, and bringing back into view 20th-century artists who were overlooked or forgotten by it.
We work with each artist over time, producing exhibitions, residencies, placing works in private and institutional collections, and building relationships with museums and foundations.
Our role goes beyond that of a commercial intermediary. We help collectors support artists, and we help artists, both past and present, inscribe their work in the long term.

20TH-CENTURY REDISCOVERIES
We work to reintegrate historically important artists whose work has been overlooked, forgotten or insufficiently understood. This involves sustained research, publications, archival work and the active search for significant works in private collections and beyond. We are currently developing several rediscovery projects and welcome enquiries from collectors, families, estates and institutions.
PLACES AND RESIDENCIES
Four locations, one programme.
Darmo runs artist residencies in partnership with exceptional places, in France and across Europe. Each place welcomes both programme artists and invited artists, in a format suited to its context.
FOR COLLECTORS
Participate in the writing of art history.
We guide collectors who wish to engage with the primary and secondary markets: first acquisitions, building a coherent body, supporting an artist over time, or collecting historical works to bring an overlooked artist back into history. Our approach is curatorial and discreet. We propose works selected according to the collector's sensibility, project and horizon, and we remain at their side as the collection takes shape.
