Swann Ronné

b. 1995

About Swann Ronné (b. 1995) lives and works in Paris. He graduated from the École des Beaux- Arts de Paris in 2021 and has exhibited his work in France, Germany, and China. His work has notably been presented at the Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art in Chongqing (2024), Butong Beidaihe (China, 2025), as well as at Galerie du Crous, Galerie Joseph, Darmo Art, and Le Réser- voir in Paris. In 2022, he received the Roger Bataille Painting Prize, followed in 2023 by the inaugural Zao Wou- Ki Foundation Grant. In 2024, he presented the solo exhibition I Just Need A Sign at the Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art in Chongqing, following a ten-month residency in China. His painting practice explores signs, visual codes, and forms drawn from contemporary and urban environments. Drawing in particular on urban and digital architecture, his work combines textures, layers, and compositions through a system of montage in which gesture and language overlap and transform. The resulting forms are characterized by processes of slippage, move- ment, and concealment, blurring the boundaries between image, language, and technology.
