1887 - 1985

Marc Chagall is considered the painter of surreality. Despite a life marked by exile and war, the Jewish painter painted poetry, lightness, gentleness and love. He was deeply influenced by Fauvism and Cubism, two movements that inspired his shimmering colors, his unstructured objects and contributed to the definition of his pictorial space.
