Alexis de Bernede
French-American student and entrepreneur, Alexis grew up between Paris and Boston. An art lover since his early childhood, Alexis began acquiring and selling contemporary art at the age of 16, always betting on the development of artists.
After joining the Warwick Business School Society, the largest independent student association at the University of Warwick, in 2016, Alexis took over as head of the Sponsors and Partnerships Department from February 2017 to February 2018. During this period he restructured the department's strategy, and approached the university's administration to discuss with the curator the university's art collection and its development.
In 2017, Alexis will also be working for TEFAF Maastricht's communication and press relations department. In August 2017, he set up a contemporary art blog, before joining forces a month later with Marius Jacob-Gismondi and launching their artist accelerator: Darmo Art.
His year was spent in New York and Hong Kong, financial hubs and cultural treasures, where Alexis strengthened his understanding of the art market by working at Christie's.
